We, Canadian, need to lose WEIGHT!
Have you noticed?
Sure you have. It’s everywhere in the news.
We, Canadian, need to lose WEIGHT!
It’s the new thing, THE 2011 Discovery.
Wish they had asked us, Plus Size Women. We could have told them a while ago.
So why is it in the news again? For who?
So OKAY, let’s say WE, Plus Size Women, AGREE (it’s a free country and do you know that some people actually like being Plus Size???)
HOW DO WE DO THAT? HA!
Oh yes, In the News, they tell us that WE, Plus Size People, have to get moving: WE HAVE TO EXERCISE.
YOU DIDN’T KNOW??? Do you get it? They are not talking to us Plus Size Women.
They are talking to Everyone –(minus) Plus Size Women.
BECAUSE WE KNOW WHAT WE SHOULD BE DOING TO LOSE WEIGHT.
Most of us have been trying for ages if you did not know!
So how are WE (not I) going to lose weight?
Let’s face it, this is a societal problem, not just OUR problem.
Why?
Picture of a typical Mom’s (Plus Size?) Day:
Get up at 6am. Prepare Lunch bags for the kids. Get ready. Kids go to school, Mom and Dad go to work.
Work until noon. Noon to 1pm, Mom vegges because SHE THINKS SHE IS ALLOWED ONE HOUR OF VEGGING PER DAY(?)
5pm. Rush to pick up the kids. Feed them quickly. Bye Honey, see you later: Hockey for the boy, Gymnastic for the girl and...... lots of driving for the parents.
Back at home and still wondering how to squeeze an hour of exercise in that routine!
You need to take time for yourself you know, it’s not just about the kids, you know, blablablablabla.....
OH too stressful, I need a chocolate barre*.
*As my friend Kaila put it: it's not because you're uneducated that you make those mistakes, it's because you're French! Thanks Kaila, friendship is good!
I just read over this post and although I do not live in Canada, we "Americans" have the same problem! I have been struggling with my weight for years and years. It's really discouraging when you feel like the only single 24 year old because you feel like your weight is all any younger men can see. I've tried a bunch of diets and I exercise as if I were going to run a marathon! I don't eat horribly. My mom never kept junk food in the house when I lived there. I try so hard and even if I lose a few pounds here and there, the moment I SMELL something deliciously unhealthy for me, I gain 5 pounds! It's horrible!
ReplyDeleteI was doing some research online for some type of encouraging program. Something that could or would fit ME! I came across a website for this woman who fortunately for me isn't TOO far away. Her name is Debra Mazda. She works on Plus Size Fitness. She explains that just because you're plus size, it doesn't mean that you are or have to be unhealthy. She gives it to you straight. She alsonhas DVD's for sale, which I'm currently waiting on receiving! I just feel I should spread the word to my fellow Plus Sized Women! Check out her website though! It's www.shapelygirlfitness.com and let me know what you think!
